Wood modding master abbas-it's project is shaping up to be the one to beat and who can disagree; it has scales, feet and is called ALLIGATOR CROCO-PI-LE. We're assuming the wooden case will sit atop the reptilian base at some point but we can't wait to see what abbas-it has in store. Head over to the project log
to see more.
Only one project seems to be acrylic-based so far and that's Bulky by
tekonivel. They're using large standoffs to create and align the base and roof of the case - an interesting idea, especially as the project is tekonivel's first.
Forum user Ehlers joined our community just to enter our Raspberry Pi Competition. His project is also focusing on wood as the primary material and he's off to a flying start having carved and sanded an actual log down to two incredibly smooth sections that look set to enclose the Pi. To see more, take a look at his project, called Woody, over in our
project log forum.
Forum user Asouter's project entitled '[THING]' features an incredible carved hand which we suspect is meant to provide a clasping grip on an unfortunate Pi. With his background in making acrylic masterpieces such as
D33P Thought, we'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one. You can see the project log
here
That's all for now. Don't forget you only have till then end of April to complete your Raspberry Pi case - be sure to start work and create your project log soon.
